eBook & Downloads

Why ebooks?

E-Books, or electronic books are becoming increasingly popular and for good reason.

A major advantage with ebooks is their cost, or lack of it. Because as the publisher we don't have to pay for printing costs etc, we can offer ebooks and downloads at much lower prices than for instance buying a conventional book from the high street. I would suggest a saving on our own products of at least 50-70% over similar products, bought for instance as a paperback.

Most learning to drive books only have a limited life. This is down to both changes in the practical test and the fact that when the test has been passed the book is no longer needed. You only need to look at music downloads compared to cd sales to see the popularity of downloading from the internet. So why pay a high price for a reference book, only for it to sit on a shelf gathering dust after the learner has passed their test?

So if you want your learning to drive books now and to save money, then why not try one excellent ebooks or downloads? All of our ebooks and downloads have been written by an highly experienced DSA Approved Driving Instructor.

driving practice ebook

This is not simply another book on learning to drive. Firstly it is not aimed at the learner. Instead it has been developed as an aid to family or friends of the learner who may wish to accompany the learner for additional practical driving practice, or just to assist them with talking through or demonstrating lessons with the learner. Given the right advice and guidance the quality of this practice can be improved helping the learner towards their goal of passing the driving test. Version 1.01 is correct at October 2008 and will be updated if there are any changes to the driving test. The Driving Practice E-Book has almost 60 pages of advice and diagrams all compiled by a fully qualified and highly experienced Approved Driving Instructor (ADI).

LEGAL REQUIREMENTS

If you intend practising with family or friends please make sure that the vehicle to be used is taxed and properly insured. You will also need to display L-Plates in a conspicuous position on the front and rear of the vehicle. The accompanying driver must be over the age of 21 and must have held and still hold a full driving licence in the relevant vehicle category for three years. You can find more details on the legal requirements in the Driving Practice E-Book or the DSA website.

SAFE AND ENJOYABLE PRACTICE

The more organised and constructive the practical driving practice is the safer and more enjoyable this practice will be for both the learner and the accompanying driver. Many experienced drivers believe that they do not require any additional advice/instruction when accompanying a learner for private practice. It may however be worth considering that an experienced driver wishing to beome an Approved Driving Instructor must undertake a considerable amount of training and pass three exams before they can become a fully qualified instructor. The aim of the Driving Practice E-Book is to give an experienced driver additional advice to help them to organise well constructed informative practice.

SAVING MONEY!

As an experienced ADI I firmly believe that private practice can be extremely beneficial to the learner. If this practice is done well it can noticeably reduce the overall number of paid hours with an ADI to achieve the same level of competency. Clearly any reduction in the number of hours needed with an instructor will reduce the overall cost of the driving tuition. However this only applies if the practice is done well. Unfortunately experience has shown me that this is often not the case, in fact if the practice is not of a good quality the result can be that instead of benefiting from this practice the learners drive actually becomes worse rather than better. This can lead to the learner requiring more paid lessons not less!

PASS THE DRIVING TEST FIRST TIME

Many learners feel that as soon as they can drive without making too many mistakes they are ready for their driving test. This can be a costly mistake, as without enough experience their chances of passing first time will be noticably reduced. This is another area that the Driving Practice E-Book can help with. There are sections on helping you to judge whether or not the learner is ready for the driving test, as well as advice for the day of the test. Taking and failing tests can be a costly experience, so the more experience the learner can gain through practising with family or friends the greater their chances of pass their driving test first time are.

DRIVING PRACTICE E-BOOK

When you consider the importance of safe, constructive driving practice, not to mention the possible savings that can be made then the download price of £3.95 represents an exceptionally good investment.

DRIVING TEST E-CARDS

Revision/prompt cards are often used by students to help them to prepare for exams/tests. The principal is that by using the revision cards on a regular basis leading up to an exam/test the student will be able to recall key facts even when in the stressful situation of a test/exam. This is extremely useful for the practical driving test, as it is often the learner's ability to be able to think clearly in a stressful situation that can make the difference between passing and failing the driving test!

The Driving Test Revision Cards download consists of 20 cards (including the front cover) covering the key areas that the learner will need to be proficient in for the driving test. Available for download to your computer, you can then print out the 5 pages (A4 size) each containing 4 of the revision cards. When cut out you will have 20 A6 size revision cards that are easy for the learner to carry with them, enabling regular revision, such as in free periods at school or when travelling to and from work.

When you consider the cost of the driving test, it is certainly worth the minimal download cost of just £2.95 for the Driving Test Revision Cards, to help the learner to prepare more fully for the driving test and to hopefully pass the driving test first time!

At the great introductory price of only £2.95.
